Teehee ! On Saturday, crys and crys’s friends had to go for this Campus to Corporate Grooming Seminar in Sunway University College’s training room. Attendance is is compulsory. However, someone *stares at celia* skipped the event, and probably was still sleeping at home. *hint hint* Lol ! :P
This semina thing gave crys the impression that it would be a few boring hours which we will be stuck in a room. Fortunately, crys was wrong. :) It was a pretty fun and interesting hours we spent with the reputable professional speaker – Wendy Lee, a professional image consultant She was one of the panel judges for the Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant. She also has a column with the Star’s Clove Section called Miss Behave – featuring of Q&A of Image and Etiquette. She has also trained individuals from large and small corporations including Genting World Resorts, CIMB, RHB, Bank Negara, The Grand Millennium, Sunway Group etc. (crys lazy to type so much) and the list continues to grow.
Besides having a great career, miss wendy is warm and friendly person. She actually came to greet us personally before the seminar. During the seminar, she taught us how to groom ourselves, from the 3A aspects – Appearance, Attitude and Actions. Besides, we were also taught to create a better first impressions from the 3V – Visual, Vocal and Verbal. Other than that, we get to learn the ways to bring out ourselves from the others, ways to dress ourselves according to the hierarchy, how to dress professionally, and what is considered as an image breaker. She spoke in a very humorous manner. We actually learnt a lot, and really laughed a lot too. ^^v Thanks miss wendy ! :) After going for the seminar, crys decided to go shop for more formal clothes for crys’s 3 months internship with crys’s new credit card ! :P
After the seminar, it was time for our 2 hours club meeting. we’re planning to organize an orientation event in a week’s time, which is next Saturday. So everyone ! Let’s work together to make our event a success. :P
