Crys had to wake up around 6 am today. The 6 am in Shanghai was as bright as 8 am in Malaysia. o.o Crys and family took the 7.40 am train to HangZhou . The journey took 1 hour 40 minutes. Crys had a nice sleep in the train because crys was exhausted due to yesterday's long walk. After getting off from the train, we had lunch in a shop named YongHeKing near the train station. The snacks there were not bad. :) It had been a long time since the last time crys ate YouTiao. Crispy YouTiao ! :D

We went to the WestLake after the lunch. Today was a sunny day. It wasn't a very nice day to walk around but crys had no choice. Firstly, we went for a boat ride around the WestLake. Many kinds of boats were provided but we chose to ride the most traditional boat. The guy who rowed us around the WestLake gave us a lot of information about the WestLake. We went to have a look at the 3 miniature stone pagodas located in the center of the lake. The pagodas were built over 800 years ago and were used to measure the lake water level during high tide in old times. On the night of the Mid-Autumn festival, when the moon shines full in the sky, a candle is lit inside each of the pagodas. The light from the holes and the moon cast reflections on the water. Hence, the pagodas were named the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon.

According to him too, the 3 treasures of HangZhou are the LongJing Tea, Silk and the Pearl. Crys’s aunt bought a pair of pearl earrings which costs around RMB 200 Yuan for crys’s cousin. The earrings are very pretty ! :D
Here are some pictures taken around the
WestLake.

After that, we went to have our lunch in a shop named ZhiWeiGuan, which was the biggest mistake made. First of all, we didn't know where the shop is located so we actually spent a lot of time walking under the hot sun looking for the shop. Then, after reaching the place, we found out that the workers were very inefficient. Even though we called the waitress, we waited for at least half an hour before she came to clean up the dirty table. Plus, the worker only came to take the dirty plates away without wiping the wet table. =.= Crys was in a really bad mood while crys was eating the food. So, crys wasn't in the mood for photo-taking. Sorry.

After the lunch, we went to visit the other side of the WestLake where a golden cow  statue is located in the lake. For your information, Angelx loves cow. She named them MooMoo. o.o that is why she took a lot of pictures with the WestLake Golden MooMoo. Then, we went to the Lotus River Garden. The lake was supposed to be filled with lotus flowers during summer. However, since it wasn't officially summer yet, we could only see lotus plants without the flower. After that, we went to the Yue Temple where a hero named Yue Fei was buried.

We spent a long time to get a taxi. It was so tiring. :( Then, we went back to the same shop this morning to have dinner before taking the train back to Shanghai.
